Cliff Denholm has more than 30 years of experience with various types of computer and information systems and has held senior management positions in large organizations. Cliff began his career in the Air Force working with electronic warfare systems, specializing in electronic countermeasures. Cliff continued his computer career in the private sector, designing and installing process control systems that are used in manufacturing, utilities, and the transportation industries. He also has supported large mainframe operating and communication software systems, managed the construction and implementation of two large computer centers, integrated the operation of an international communications network, and structuring the strategies of information technology organizations.

Cliff served as VP/CIO at Magee-Women's Hospital in Pittsburgh and developed the first clinical data repository dedicated for medical research for women and children. As VP/ CIO for Regional Hospitals at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), he was responsible for technology programs including the construction of a state of the art hospital, integrating operations of 19 hospitals into a single computer environment and chaired the Executive Information Steering Committee. Cliff was the Executive Program Director for the Strategic Bio-Defense Emergency Communications System. This system was a development contract for the Department of Defense to design and develop a system for supporting National Guard and Emergency Operation Centers in time of emergencies.
